From Monday, August 9, the health pass will be compulsory in retirement homes, medico-social establishments and hospitals, but not in emergencies. Caregivers and directors of accommodation establishments for dependent elderly people (Ehpad) apprehend the application of the law – validated in almost all, Thursday, August 5, by the Constitutional Council.
Visitors – except in emergencies and for people at the end of their life – and scheduled patients will have to present a health pass, i.e. proof of vaccination, a virological test of less than 48 hours or a certificate of recovery following Covid-19 contamination, to access the establishment. The law also provides for a vaccination obligation for caregivers, who have until October 15 to present a complete vaccination schedule.

After weeks of closure of nursing homes during the health crisis followed by a chaotic return to normal, directors will meet again “Still accused of being the police”, worries Didier Sapy, Director General of the National Federation for the Future and Quality of Life of the Elderly, which brings together associative nursing homes. The sanitary sesame may cause tension. ” Now that’s enough !, indignant Claudette Brialix, president of the National Federation of associations and friends of the elderly and their families. We are not going to deprive very old people again of the last contact with theirs. Families and residents played along by getting vaccinated. Let’s build solutions together and stop imposing them from above! Either way, there is no such thing as zero risk. ”
?Who is going to finance? “
The control of the sanitary pass will require “Energy, time and human resources that establishments do not necessarily have in this summer period”, also notes Mr Sapy. Some have anticipated. ?We are going to devote an employee to welcoming visitors. It will be full time and we will ask the regional health agency to cover this additional cost ?, predicts Eric-Angelo Bellini, director of the nursing home Les Rousseličres in Pleumartin (Vienne). At the head of the Loos-Haubourdin hospital group (North), Séverine Laboue will recruit agents to control the entrances to the two nursing homes she heads. “They risk being overwhelmed, perhaps verbally assaulted, because we sometimes have rebellious visitors!” ” But, above all, Mme Laboue asks “Who is going to fund these positions and are we going to find volunteers?” “

?Tomorrow, August 5, heatstroke alert: avoid going out, do not exercise, use the air conditioning, hydrate yourself enough, watch the elderly. “ Arrived on cell phones in the evening, Wednesday August 4, this message is not exceptional in summer in Japan. Temperatures, around 30 ° C, and humidity, close to 70%, make everyday life difficult, even dangerous for health. This Friday, August 6 was even the subject of a special alert from the meteorological agency in 39 of the country’s 47 departments, temperatures approaching 40 ° C.
However, while the population of Tokyo is invited to be extremely cautious, the participants in the Olympic Games have been doing a series of laps for two weeks. Several have openly complained about it. ?It was a battle over who would resist the longest. After 10 or 12 groundstrokes, we were like in The Walking Dead », quipped the Argentine tennis player Diego Schwartzman after his round of 16, comparing the athletes to zombies, haggard in the heat.
Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa also left the pitch in a wheelchair after having to abandon her quarter-final due to sunstroke
In this discipline, the Spanish player Paula Badosa also left the field in a wheelchair, after having to abandon her quarter-final due to sunstroke. Daniil Medvedev wondered if he was wrong ” pass away “ during a match and Novak Djokovic spoke of a heat ” brutal “ after his victory in the first round and got the matches to be played later in the day.
And while beach volleyball players have complained about the heat of the sand, even on the water, it was impossible to dodge the heat. “It’s getting hotter and the water is heating too”, related the céiste Martin Thomas (5e of the canoe slalom final). The followers of his discipline, however, spend most of their time partly immersed in the waves. “You have no idea how hot it is in thereexclaims the Frenchman. The water should be at 35 ° C. It is necessary to warm up less and to go more often in the cold baths. “ In an attempt to cool off, he kept a cooler near the start.

Russian archer Svetlana Gomboeva passed out after the thermometer read 33 ° C, and athletes weren’t the only ones affected. On August 3, the organizers of the Olympics counted around thirty heatstrokes among volunteers and other staff, when more than 8,000 people were hospitalized in the Japanese capital between July 19 and 25 for the same reasons.

There will be no termination of fixed-term contracts (CDD) or interim due to non-presentation of the health pass in companies open to the public from August 30. Seized by the government and three groups of parliamentarians, the Constitutional Council announced, Thursday, August 5, the censorship of the provision of the law relating to the management of the health crisis “Organizing the early termination of certain employment contracts”.
If the text, adopted by Parliament on July 25, had ruled out the possibility of dismissing an employee on an open-ended contract (CDI) without a valid health pass, it was clear on fixed-term contracts and temporary workers: a breach of the employment contract was possible before its term, at the initiative of the employer.

To censor this measure, the Council invokes a breach of the principle of equality. The obligation to present the health pass being linked, according to the judges, to the will of the legislator to limit the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic, and thus to pursue the objective of constitutional value of health protection , the fact of being able to terminate a fixed-term contract and not a permanent contract is not in conformity with the Constitution. “Employees, whether they are on an open-ended contract or on a fixed-term or mission contract, are all exposed to the same risk of contamination or transmission of the virus”, they claim.
” Wise decision “
The decision concludes that “The legislator has instituted a difference in treatment between employees according to the nature of their employment contracts, which is unrelated to the objective pursued”. A logical decision, according to Jean-Emmanuel Ray, professor at the Law School of the Panthéon-Sorbonne University: ?In labor law, it is not a surprise that the sanction concerns only fixed-term contracts. ““It was difficult to deal this blow to the only precarious, judge Elise Fabing, lawyer in labor law. The Council, with this decision, confirms that there is no fault, in an employment contract, which could lead to a termination if one does not get vaccinated. “
From August 30, an employee who does not present a proof will be able to ask for days of leave or RTT
As this type of short contract is widely used in the sectors concerned by the extension of the health pass (cafes, restaurants, fairs, trade shows, etc.), it is a relief for Thierry Grégoire, president of the seasonal branch of the Union des hospitality trades and industries (UMIH): ?The Constitutional Council took a wise decision. It would have been ubiquitous to have to break the employment contract of employees who do not wish to be vaccinated in this sector facing so many hiring difficulties. “

CLEVELAND ? If you don?t know what you?re looking at as you drive around Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport in Springfield, Ohio, it?s easy to miss the fact that you?re looking at what could be the future of transportation.
Some of that future is already operating in a converted bus. Other parts are still being built just a few hundred feet away from the airport?s runways. When entrepreneurs and researchers come to fly their crafts, they sometimes work off folding tables in the middle of a massive grass field.
In the last few weeks, the United States has seen two private companies fly their billionaire owners to the edge of space, inspiring some Americans about the next generation of space travel while others are frustrated about the resources those trips take.

Terrill)
But space travel is still years away, especially for anyone who can?t shell out millions to pay for it.
The work being done in Ohio is well within the earth?s atmosphere but beyond what most people might realize is already possible.
Our Future Vehicles
You?d be forgiven for thinking some of the experimental aircraft looks like person-sized toys in the pictures and video that have been circulating so far.
?We make a personal arial vehicle,? said LIFT Aircraft?s Director of Business Development Kevin Rustagi. ?This is a very small aircraft. People say it?s like you?re sitting in a flying drone.?
LIFT
LIFT’s personal aerial vehicle could change the way we run errands in the future. For now, the company is trying to make them available for first responders.
Eventually, Americans might use vehicle?s like LIFT?s to make short trips through the air to the store or to run other errands. For now, the company is focusing on making them for first responders to use to save our lives. Rustagi says most people can train pretty quickly to fly it well.
?So you could see any paramedic or EMT, he or she would be able to become a pilot and be able to respond immediately to an accident site if it?s up to 15 miles away,? said Rustagi.
Testing for the Future
Figuring out how these aircraft, unmanned vehicles, or something like a flying car can navigate the skies is a long process with an intimidating obstacle course of safety rules and regulations.
The key to making unmanned flights profitable is to be able to fly long distances safely without someone watching from the ground or a chase plane in the air.
Springfield Assistant City Manager and Director of Economic Development Tom Franzen says we?re so close to figuring out how to safely make that happen.
Kevin Barry
“They have to prove that it’s safe to fly beyond visual line-of-sight without a pilot in the vehicle or a chase plane or a visual observer keeping eyes on it,” said Franzen.
?The technology?s here,? said Franzen. ?I think it?s really more of the legal framework, the airspace approvals, the FAA guidance that will have to catch up that makes it something we see every day.?
Navigating that obstacles course of rules and regulations is the hard part, especially for companies like LIFT that are trying to break into the personal and unmanned flight spaces. That?s why the Ohio Department of Transportation?s initiatives FlyOhio and DriveOhio are trying to lay some of the groundwork for those companies.
?The key to that is making sure that ground and air are working together,? said DriveOhio Communications and Policy Managing Director Luke Stedke. ?At DriveOhio/FlyOhio we?re talking about cutting red tape so the more that we can do to clear the table for these companies to come here and develop, the better it?s going to be for all of us.?
Kevin Barry
Stedke shows BETA Technologies quick charge location under construction in Springfield.
The key is that Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport, where the state already has special permission from the FAA to fly unmanned and experimental aircraft up to 10,000 feet in the air and for 225 square miles, gives companies like LIFT a large playground to refine their technology and vehicles.
?I think it?s important for the companies that are trying to prove out their product,? said Franzen.
One of the most important pieces of proving out the product is a converted bus that sits in the middle of the airfield. SkyVision is the connection between unmanned drone operators and more traditional aircraft while the drones figure out how to fly safely around more traditional air traffic.
Kevin Barry
Rich Fox explains how he helps drone operators keep their aircraft away from manned aircraft in Springfield.
SkyVision is similar to Air Traffic Control for airplanes in the sense that it tracks unmanned vehicles and communicates with the operators. It?s staffed by former Air Traffic Controllers like Rich Fox, who is quick to point out that he is not able to order drones to move in the same way he could tell pilots to change their path in the past. Instead, he helps drone operators have situational awareness for what their craft is near and how they might move away from it.
That work keeps everyone safe but also is a glimpse into the future to see how unmanned aerial vehicles and traditional aircraft can co-exist.
?By using the same equipment, the same radar feeds the Air Traffic Controllers use, out enabled us to get approval by the FAA because they were comfortable with seeing their own equipment,? said Fox.
The Payoff
Everyone agrees the key to making the research and development possible in Springfield is the long list of local, state, and federal agencies that have partnered up over the last decade to help cut through red tape.
?The feedback we?ve gotten is: no other state has got it together in terms of that collaborative environment like Ohio does,? said Dayton Development Coalition Executive Vice President for Aerospace and Defense Elaine Bryant.
In the same way, the work is being funded through private and public investment, because much of the work originated through the Department of Defense and the nearby Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Kevin Barry
“We’ve definitely established how manned-aircraft works,” said Lt. Col. Kimball. “We’ve got to figure out how to safely integrate the unmanned system.”
Air Force Lieutenant Colonial Dan Kimball says the technology will eventually touch all of our lives, whether military or civilian.
?The commercial side is driving this just as much as the military,? said Lt. Col. Kimball. ? Think about all these unmanned drone delivery systems. Amazon, Kroger, anything where you can unmanned deliver something is going to be a huge asset for the commercial industry.?
This spring, Ohio joined NASA?s campaign to spark innovative ways to move things and people through the air. Long before NASA formally recognized it, though, Ohio was making serious progress not only with experimentation but by building the infrastructure to support future projects.
Kevin Barry
“A lot of folks sometimes don’t realize that this is not just the Jetsons,” said Bryant. “This is happening today. We’re flying.”
BETA Technologies is already building a rapid charge station/vertiport structure for aerial vehicles with training and office families feet away.
But the next race worth winning is to be the place where companies like LIFT and BETA come to mass-produce their vehicles once the demand for them justifies large investment in manufacturing facilities. The hope is that the relationships built now during the research and development phase will eventually lead to large investments later.
?After the research, development, and testing, you can go to prototyping and then to manufacturing and I think Ohio really provides that complete solution,? said Franzen.
BETA Technologies
Simulators allow companies to test their programs more often and for less money.
That would be a huge economic boon for the region and the entire state of Ohio, but Bryant also points out this is about national security too. Car manufacturers across the Midwest were shut down for weeks because of a global semiconductor shortage.
?We want to make sure that manufacturing is done with U.S. sources, U.S. products, U.S. chips, U.S. security because that?s how we?re going to secure that long-term security against our adversaries,? said Bryant.
At the turn of the 20th Century, the Wright Brothers tinkered with early airplane prototypes just down the road at their bike shop in Dayton. More than a century later, the tinkering looks a lot different but the underlying purpose of the work is the same: the skies aren?t the limit, they?re just what?s next.
?You look at the traffic and everybody is stuck on the very, very expensive road which cost billions of dollars to make and all sorts of greenhouse emissions to build and then you look up at the sky and you see nothing,? said Rustagi. ?Totally open skies.?

The furnace that has invaded the eastern Mediterranean basin continues to wreak havoc. In several countries, such as Greece, Turkey, Italy or Bulgaria, a historic heat wave has encouraged the development of violent fires, which have charred tens of thousands of hectares in just over a week.
Greek firefighters, who were to receive reinforcements from French firefighters on Friday, August 6, fought a fire all night long 30 kilometers north of Athens. Five people were injured, five localities evacuated and several houses burned, according to the authorities.
The Greek capital woke up again in a pungent smell, draped in the smoke of the fire, which resumed Thursday afternoon at the foot of Mount Parnes, after having burned more than 1,200 hectares since Tuesday.

“Our country is in an extremely critical situation”Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said Thursday evening. The dozens of fires that still consume Greece show, according to him, “The reality of climate change”. “We are facing unprecedented conditions as several days of heatwave have turned the whole country into a powder keg”, he added in a televised address.
According to the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias, 57 of the 99 fires counted on Thursday were still active in the evening, in particular on the island of Evia and in the Peloponnese, in the west and east of the country, where the situation remained worrying, Friday morning. Nearly sixty villages were evacuated Thursday and then Friday morning in southern Greece. High winds, predicted by meteorologists across much of the country, could worsen the fires.

It was in the village of Afidnes, 30 kilometers north of Athens, that the flames fanned by the wind were the most virulent, noted in the night a photographer and a videographer from Agence France-Presse ( AFP). A firefighter and five residents suffered minor burns and were hospitalized Thursday evening, according to the Greek news agency ANA.
The motorway connecting Athens to the north of the country as well as the national road have been cut as a precaution. The fire teams tried to use the roadway as a barrier, to stop the advance of the flames before the return of the water bombers, at sunrise. But the blaze, fed by the surrounding pine forest, crossed the road in several places.

At least 450 Greek firefighters intervened in this disaster, helped by air resources and land vehicles. Some 82 French firefighters – military and civilian – arrived Thursday evening from Marseille and were to intervene on Friday. Greek civil protection has announced that it is expecting two planes from France and three helicopters from Switzerland, in addition to reinforcements from Cyprus and Sweden.
Israel will, for its part, send as soon as possible in a civilian plane fifteen firefighters and a large shipment of flame retardants, the Israeli authorities have announced. Due to the extreme danger, authorities have banned all movement or stay in Greece’s forests, national parks and Natura 2000 areas until August 9, according to civil protection.

SpaceX says that Starlink user terminals for moving vehicles will be ruggedized to withstand “harsh environments” with extreme levels of heat and cold. SpaceX has been seeking Federal Communications Commission permission to deploy terminals on moving vehicles since March and provided new details on its plan in an application filed Tuesday.
Compared to Starlink satellite dishes deployed at homes, the new Earth Station in Motion (ESIM) “has been ruggedized to handle harsher environments so that, for example, it will be able to continue to operate at greater extremes of heat and cold, will have improved snow/ice melt capabilities, and will withstand a greater number of thermal cycles,” SpaceX told the FCC.
The standard Starlink user terminals go into “thermal shutdown” once they hit 122° Fahrenheit, which has caused outages for some beta users. While ruggedized terminals for moving vehicles won’t solve the problem for home-Internet users, SpaceX will presumably try to make the next version of its home terminal more resistant to heat and cold.
The ruggedized terminals for moving vehicles “will operate with higher gain and lower transmit power (thus maintaining a consistent EIRP [effective isotropic radiated power] compared to other SpaceX Services user terminals)” and “will communicate with those SpaceX satellites that are visible on the horizon above a minimum elevation angle of 25 degrees,” the filing also said.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has said the terminals for moving vehicles are intended for aircraft, ships, large trucks, and RVs. The terminal is “much too big” for Tesla cars or similarly sized passenger cars, he said.
SpaceX seeks waiver
SpaceX needs a waiver from the FCC to use the 12 GHz band for the ESIMs because “this spectrum is not specifically listed among the bands available for ESIM operations,” the company’s application said. In a previous ESIM proceeding, the FCC “concluded only that the record was not sufficient at that point to include the band, not that ESIM operation would cause any technical impediment to other authorized uses in the band,” SpaceX wrote.
SpaceX said it recognizes that its ESIMs must use the 12 GHz band “on a non-protected basis” without the protection given fixed-earth stations, so the moving terminals have to accept interference from satellite TV services and the ground-based MVDDS (Multichannel Video and Data Distribution Service). “However, the commission has recognized that allowing satellite operators to make opportunistic use of spectrum on an unprotected basis provides operational flexibility and more intensive use of spectrum without compromising service to customers,” SpaceX wrote.
SpaceX said that ESIMs will be installed “on vehicles, vessels, and aircraft by qualified installers who have an understanding of the antenna’s radiation environment and the measures best suited to maximize protection of the general public and persons operating the vehicle and equipment.”
Arguing that its application serves the public interest, SpaceX said the ESIMs “will expand the range of broadband capabilities available to moving vehicles throughout the United States and to moving vessels and aircraft worldwide?and most particularly, to those in challenging environments where ruggedization is appropriate.”
SpaceX added that “users now require connectivity while on the move, whether driving an RV across the country, moving a freighter from Europe to a US port, or while on a domestic or international flight.” A company executive said in June that SpaceX is in talks with several airlines about providing in-flight Internet.
1,700 satellites and 90,000 users so far
Giving a general update on Starlink, SpaceX said that with over 1,700 satellites deployed so far, the “system is now on the brink of delivering [broadband] service across the entire United States?including to the most remote corners and polar regions of the country that too often get left behind.”
Starlink has about 90,000 beta users in 12 countries. Because of its use of low Earth orbits, “Starlink was the only satellite Internet provider with a median latency that was anywhere near that seen on fixed broadband in Q2 2021,” Ookla’s Speedtest site wrote in a new report. Starlink median latency was 45 ms, compared to 14 ms for fixed broadband connections in general.
Starlink’s median download speeds in the US were 97.2Mbps in Q2 2021, up from 65.7Mbps in Q1 2021, the report said. Starlink’s median upload speed was 13.9Mbps, about the same as in the previous quarter.
One problem for Starlink users is getting a line-of-sight connection to satellites in areas with tall trees or other obstacles. Satellite-industry consultant Tim Farrar this week pointed out that a SpaceX filing shows that in most of the US, the satellite serving a customer will be at less than a 40-degree elevation angle about half the time. “That will mean significant dropouts due to tree obstruction and high need for professional install,” he wrote.

After the last triumph of Coldplay, Miley Cyrus returned to the top of the Czech radio charts with the single “Angels Like You”. The albums are again dominated by Olivia Rodrigo, whose debut “Sour” has become a worldwide blockbuster chart. For us, the 18-year-old singer is winning for the fifth time.
RADIO – The battle for the leading position on the air has narrowed to two names in the last five weeks: Coldplay and Miley Cyrus. The British group around Chris Martin added their third championship with “Higher Power” last time, but now they have to bow to the ballad “Angels Like You” by their American colleague for the second time. OneRepublic has just made it to the podium, specifically the bronze one. Their “Run” announces the upcoming fifth studio studio of the band “Human”, which we will be able to listen to on August 27th. Below the podium, a block of domestic musicians follows. The most played Czech song remains “Another One Night”, although Jelen offended with bronze to four with it in the overall standings. Marek Ztracený broke into the elite five for the first time with the current single “Moje milá”. The next places are followed by Mirai with “I’m calling”, “Halyw?d” by Kry?tof and also O5 and Rade?ek, whose “Bra3” settled in the top ten a few months ago and still stay in it. The hit “Cover Me In Sunshine” by Pink and her daughter Willow Sage Heart also premiered among the elite. Although it was released in February, the Czech playwrights waited until the end of June. Now, after five weeks in the rankings, he jumped from 39th to 10th place. The best placed novelty was provided by Xindl X. The song “Má chata, m?j hrad” became the jingle of the Czech Television series called “Osada” and starts in the charts as the forty-third most played. Seventeen-year-old Australian The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber also joined the top half of the ranking, forty-six thanks to the joint song “Stay”. Rockers X Ambassadors with “My Own Monster” settled on the 55th line. Dance music is represented at seventy-six by Liverpool DJ Navos. Olivia Rodrigo is responsible for the latest news. In America, her “Good 4 U” has been scoring medal positions for several weeks now, starting in the 86th most played.
ALBA – Olivia Rodrigo and I closed the commentary on the radio part of the charts and in the album part we follow up smoothly where we left off. Her debut “Sour” enjoys unceasing popularity among Czech listeners. He has never left the top three in ten weeks, now reaching the absolute top for the fifth time. What would it be like to release the chart if one of the representatives of domestic rap was missing on the podium. Unlike some colleagues, Dollar Prync is not spewing new work at such a speed – the still hot act of “Jeb System 3” has only been his third album since 2016.
His nine songs include Sergei Barracuda, Smack and Ca $ hanova Bulhar. It was enough for second place. The trio was guarded by Mĺneskin, who with the “Teatro d’Ira – Vol. I” also – as well as the performer at number 1 – joined the front rows. Emilio Ballack, the 18-year-old son of Michael Ballack, is apparently dead. He is said to have had a fatal accident in a quad bike in Portugal.

Michael Ballack’s son died in Portugal
Apparently the only 18-year-old had an accident
Numerous former clubs such as Bayern Munich expressed their condolences to the former captain of the German national team
The young man had last posted photos from his vacation on Instagram. The family has owned a holiday home south of Lisbon for many years, where the 18-year-old had apparently spent a few relaxing days. According to media reports, a momentous accident occurred very close to the house on Thursday morning: Emilio Ballack should when driving with a Quad have had a fatal accident.
The Portuguese television broadcaster TVI 24 provided information about this, among others. Emilio Ballack is a son of the former German national soccer hero Michael Ballack (44). The sad news caused consternation on Thursday – not only in Germany and Portugal, but also in England, where the former midfielder spent four years with FC Chelsea was under contract.
Michael Ballack’s son apparently dead: FC Bayern condolences
Although official confirmation is pending, the club said it was “shocked”. And: ?All our thoughts are with Michael and his family at this sad time.? FC Bayern also spoke up on its website on Thursday evening and condoned: ?The FC Bayern is sadly united with his longtime player and his family. “
Rudi Völler (61), managing director of Ballack’s ex-club Bayer Leverkusen and long-time companion, expressed his condolences to the family: ?The news shocked me and I was deeply hit. We mourn the boy and feel for Michael and Simone. We all here at Bayer 04 wish the whole Ballack family an incredible amount of strength.
?The accident took place on the family estate. The quad driver was not on a public road and it was the only vehicle involved, ?the British Daily Mail quoted a police officer as saying. According to research by TVI 24, the accident should have happened on Thursday night. Emilio Ballack is therefore with one Motorcycle 4 been on the road, a quad approved for public traffic.
The family led a life in the spotlight
He was one of three sons from Michael and Michael?s divorce in 2012 Simone Ballack (45). The brothers are 16 and 19 years old. Even when Michael Ballack was active as an athlete, the family owned a holiday home in Portugal. The property is located on the peninsula troywhere other celebrities are supposed to own real estate.
The family lived at times in the spotlight. Both parents repeatedly published photos together with their sons.
Michael Ballack was a German soccer hero
Born in Saxony, Michael Ballack was a leader on the field and one of the most influential German players at the beginning of the millennium, won four championships and was vice world champion in 2002. He began his professional career in 1997 at 1. FC Kaiserslautern. There he met the waitress Simone in a café. They married in 2008. After the divorce a few years later, she moved with the children to Lake Starnberg and from then on appeared frequently on television.
Michael Ballack – nickname “Captain” – has worked as a TV expert since the end of his career and analyzes football matches, most recently during the European Championship.
The Portuguese authorities are investigating the course of the accident
Like the alleged accident near the small town Leads came is now the subject of an investigation by the Portuguese authorities. However, traffic experts have long warned of the dangers posed by quads. These small four-wheeled off-road vehicles drive differently than cars and motorcycles.
?That is exactly the difficulty for someone who moves a quad for the first time,? says André Lang from Institute for Two-Wheeler Safety – regardless of the Ballack case. ?Thanks to the high ground clearance, quads also have a high center of gravity.? When cornering, they tend to tip over significantly faster than other vehicles. “By shifting your weight, you move your upper body in curves to the inside,” explains Lang. So cornering in particular would need a lot of practice to be able to master them safely.

They were thousands, firefighters, police, soldiers, villagers, Thursday August 5, to fight relentlessly against the fires which have ravaged for nine days the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, a popular destination for tourists, an important source of foreign currency income for the country.
The scorching temperatures, the great dryness of the grounds and the strong winds make the fight particularly difficult. As of Thursday evening, seventeen fires were still raging in several provinces, notably in the coastal regions of Antalya and Mugla, whose pine forests, olive groves and villages are still in the grip of the flames, despite the entry into action of water bomber planes from Spain, Croatia, Ukraine, Russia and Azerbaijan.

In Mugla, three districts of the seaside town of Milas surrounded by flames had to be evacuated. However, the nearby Kemerköy coal-fired power station was saved. The previous days, strong winds had pushed the fire towards the main building, raising fears of the worst.
All day Thursday, tons of water were poured from the air on the plant and its surroundings. Evacuated and emptied of its explosive substances, in particular its hydrogen tanks, the plant appeared rather intact on the images broadcast on Thursday by television channels.
The seaside resort of Oren evacuated
The Minister of Energy, Fatih Dönmez, assured that the turbines of this lignite-fired power station, which provides electricity for a large part of the region, had not been damaged. “For the moment, there is no fire threatening the factory”, did he declare.
The rangers are less optimistic, fearing a resumption of fire around the plant because of the extremely changing winds. Proof that the danger persists, the neighboring seaside resort of Oren had to be evacuated Thursday by the Turkish navy, while endless convoys of cars cluttered the roads, according to images transmitted by the Habertürk television channel.

The population follows with anguish the devastation caused by the fire. No less than 180 fires have been recorded since July 28, unheard of since 2003. Most have been brought under control, only seventeen outbreaks remain.
Criticized for its lack of responsiveness, the government is trying to put on a good face, repeating over and over that everything is under control, that the winds will calm down, that the landscapes that have become lunar will be reforested. In a television interview broadcast Wednesday evening, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused the opposition of practicing “Terror of lies” for denigrating the lack of preparation he is accused of.
